Updates to the ALMA Construction Project Book,

  1. The Project Book editors have the discretion to incorporate minor changes - such as editorial changes, or clarifications - into the Project Book without recourse to the Change Board.

  2. If a Division Head/Team Leader or his representative wishes to put a change into the Project Book, he may:

    1. if he or she considers the change to be sufficiently trivial, submit it to the Project Book editors for their consideration. The editors may agree that the change is sufficiently trivial to be incorporated into the book without reference to the Change Board, and the editors will make the change. The editors will also take appropriate steps to publicize the change.

      Alternatively, the editors may decide that the change should be referred to the Change Board, and will ask the DH/TL to submit it to the board.

    2. For significant changes, the DH/TL or his representative will submit the request to the Change Board, using the appropriate form, but with a copy sent to the Systems Group. If the change is approved, the Change Board will then forward the material to the Systems Group and ask the Project Book editors to ensure that the appropriate changes are put into place, and that the changes are publicized to all DHs/TLs and any others who should be made aware of the changes.
